Sexual assault charge filed against 20-year-old man in La Crosse, who sent many messages to underage girl

A 20-year-old La Crosse man faces almost a dozen criminal charges, including sexual assault of a child, and child enticement.

A criminal complaint charges Dayton Allen with assaulting a girl under 18, who he had been calling and messaging repeatedly.

The assault allegedly happened last week at Grandad Bluff Park.

Investigators said the incident followed weeks of Allen sending messages to the girl by computer.

A $10,000 cash bond was set for Allen.

La Crosse County Judge Ramona Gonzalez ordered him to have no contact with anyone under 18 and to not use the internet or social media.

Allen will be back in court next week.
