Second suspect arrested in Vernon County UTV incident that left woman with fractured vertebrae, ribs
Vernon County is now charging two people in connection with a UTV incident this month, in which a pedestrian was hurt.
Viroqua native Robert Purvis, 21, was arrested for his role in a hit-and-run that happened Feb. 4, when the UTV hit a woman, who was walking on Bekkedal Avenue in Westby. It left the victim with fractured ribs and vertebrae.
Shortly after the accident, 22-year-old Mitchell McKittrick of Westby was arrested for allegedly driving the UTV.
Both McKittrick and Purvis could appear in Vernon County court on Tuesday.
