Alcohol possible factor in death of female passenger dead after UTV rollover near Sparta
One person is dead and another injured after a weekend UTV accident near Sparta, Wis.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s report says deputies arrived early Sunday morning at the scene of a rollover crash along Janus Avenue, in the Township of Wells.
The UTV left the road. A female passenger — age unknown — died after being thrown from the vehicle. The male driver was hurt and taken to a hospital.
Investigators said alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
The incident remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office, the county medical examiner and the Wisconsin DNR.
