Gas prices around La Crosse area start around $3.24 a gallon, slightly above a year ago
Gas prices in La Crosse are a little higher now than they were at this time last year.
The Gas Buddy website said several stations in the La Crosse area posted prices of $3.24 a gallon over the weekend, while other stations are charging about 10 cents more. The local average was around 3.19 a gallon in late March of 2023.
The cheapest gas price in Eau Claire right now is 3.10 a gallon, while the lowest pump price in the state can be found near Madison, with a price of 2.79 reported in Stoughton.
That was about 30 cents below the next cheapest price, in Appleton.
