La Crosse’s mass transit headquarters has become a popular place for VIPs from Washington and elsewhere.

President Joe Biden visited the MTU facility on Isle La Plume in 2021, to highlight the use of electric buses. EPA administrator Michael Regan followed, a year later, impressed with the potential of the city’s wastewater treatment plant.

On Wednesday, Mitch Landrieu with the Biden-Harris campaign, will stop at the MTU headquarters as part of a Wisconsin trip to promote successes of the Biden administration.

Landrieu, a former New Orleans mayor, who is an advisor to the White House on infrastructure needs. He’ll be accompanied tour by La Crosse Mayor Mitch Reynolds.

The visit will come a day after Reynolds hosted Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers in La Crosse.

Landrieu is on a two-day tour around Wisconsin.

On Tuesday, he saw electric vehicles in Racine and met with the mayor of Madison. After Landrieu visits La Crosse, he’s scheduled to travel to Wausau for a tour of that city’s water treatment plant.

“To promote the successes of the Biden administration”. This should be interesting; even comical.

I’m sure WIZM will be there asking those really really tough questions in the tradition of “hard hitting journalism” and I predict Photo Pfaff will attend to get his picture taken again.

To get a rider’s view of the social benefit of costly and mostly riderless electric buses be sure to interview the homeless guy sleeping in the back seat.
