Bob Uecker to make debut Tuesday in Brewers home-opener, though how many games he calls is unknown

A 3-0 start to the season for the Milwaukee Brewers, taking down the highest-salaried team in the MLB over the weekend.

Milwaukee spoiled the New York Mets series home-opener with three wins, including 4-1 on Sunday.

Now the Brewers get set for their home-opener Tuesday afternoon with the Twins in town and Bob Uecker on the call.

The Brewers said last week, they’re not sure how many games the 90-year-old hall of fame announcer will do this season.

So, fans should cherish every one.

Jakob Junis will make his Brewers debut on the mound. The 31-year-old righty started just four games last year, but was solid out of the bullpen with 96 strikeouts in 86 innings and a solid 3.87 ERA.

A couple other new faces have already made strong debuts for the Brewers, as well.

Rhys Hoskins hit a home run last series, while 20-year-old rookie Jackson Chourio has 5 hits in 12 at-bats, plus a stolen base (.417 avg.).

Brewers staple, Christian Yelich, is off to an amazing start, as well. The 32-year-old had 5 hits in 11 at-bats (.455), including a home run. He’s also got two stolen bases and his OBP is .538.

The Brewers will play two day games against the Twins, before the Seattle Mariners come to town over the weekend.
