The start of April brings the beginning of another monthly cycle of meetings for La Crosse city leaders.

The City Plan Commission meets Monday afternoon and will discuss a lease agreement to let City Brewery use land on nearby Isle La Plume for parking space.

The city council Judiciary and Administration (J&A) Committee will meet on Wednesday this week, because of Tuesday’s elections.

That committee could vote on licensing requirements to sell electronic vaping devices in the same way that tobacco products are licensed now.

Mac Kiel, on the J&A Committee, joined La Crosse Talk PM to talk about some of the agenda items, as well as updating listeners on the homeless situation in the city, after cleanup along the Black River due to encampments there.

Kiel goes out weekly with the Homeless Outreach Team.

La Crosse Talk PM airs weekdays at 5:06 p.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk PM wherever you get your podcasts.
