Reckless homicide suspect sent back to La Crosse, after being arrested in Arkansas
An Arkansas man, charged in the overdose death of a friend, has been returned to La Crosse County to face trial.
A warrant was issued back in February, when Lathan Foster did not appear for a La Crosse court hearing.
Foster recently told authorities that he was in custody in Arkansas at the time. He was arrested in that state last week.
The 25-year-old is scheduled to be tried for reckless homicide in October for allegedly supplying fentanyl to Jeremy Pittman, who died from an overdose in December of 2021.
La Crosse County Judge Scott Horne set a cash bond of $11,000 for Foster.
His next hearing is set for July, with a week-long trial set to begin on Oct. 28.
