Drug arrest in Holmen leads to court appearances for three suspects
Three people are facing charges following a weekend drug bust in Holmen, which police believe may be the biggest drug seizure ever in their village.
Steven Cathey and 26-year-old Carli Stein each face 18 criminal charges. They and Ashley Littlejohn were arrested on Saturday, after police searched a house on Holmen Drive.
The search turned up fentanyl, heroin, meth, and LSD, along with 10 guns. The estimated value of the drugs is around $26,000.
Both Cathey, 62, and Stein appeared in La Crosse County court on Tuesday, each on 18 criminal counts, including mistreatment of dogs that have been removed from the house.
A cash bond of $100,000 was set for Cathey. Both he and Stein are scheduled back in court on May 8.
Cathey has a long record of convictions in Wisconsin, dating back 40 years. His earliest case on record in La Crosse County was for felony pandering and misdemeanor battery, dated 1993.
