Fentanyl charge brought against La Crosse area man, while 34-year-old charged with stealing snacks from Kwik Trip

Bond was set Thursday at $10,000 cash for a 47-year-old man accused of trying to sell fentanyl in La Crosse.

Police found Shaun Wright carrying fentanyl, when he was searched during a traffic stop at 6th and Jackson streets Wednesday afternoon. Wright was a passenger in a car that was pulled over for not having a rear license plate.

A bag containing fentanyl and dozens of plastic baggies were discovered. Wright is scheduled back in court on May 6.

In another court case heard Thursday, a 34-year-old La Crosse woman was arrested on a warrant issued two months ago and now faces 10 different criminal charges.

Wing

Britney Wing appeared in court on the most recent charges of bail jumping and retail theft. Wing is charged with misdemeanor theft for stealing snacks from a Kwik Trip on Rose Street, back in February.

She reportedly missed sentencing on previous charges earlier this year.

Wing is now being held in jail without bond and has been ordered to stay away from Kwik Trips and Walmarts.
