Changes being made near proposed site of new Kwik Trip off Rose Street

The city of La Crosse is approving some exceptions for parking and other regulations at the Kwik Trip north of Bridgeview Plaza.

That store is scheduled to be replaced soon with an even bigger Kwik Trip.

La Crosse’s board of public works has okayed the exceptions, including measures to install a stormwater pond where the existing store stands.

City planner Tim Acklin says Kwik Trip plans to keep that current store open until the new one is built, closer to Rose Street.
