UW-L political science professor, Dr. Anthony Chergosky, in the WIZM studio Friday for La Crosse Talk PM on the best summer movie, some politics — like the US House saga, a dead House rep. wins election and JFK Jr. — but also on sleeping in an airline’s overhead bin and what you’d do if you found $40,000.

La Crosse Talk PM airs weekdays at 5:06 p.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk PM wherever you get your podcasts.

The entire show was an intermix of multiple topics, the first half being mostly politics — except for Chergosky recapping last week’s Flo Rida concert at the La Crosse Center.

Those politics included JFK Jr.’s revelation a worm ate some of his brain, then died. Also Donald Trump trying to pit JFK Jr. as the world’s biggest lefty socialist, to syphon votes from Joe Biden. An Indiana US House Republican winning a primary election, despite being dead. Plus, the ridiculousness of lifetime appointments, like judges have.

The second half the show (18:40) we began with Mother’s Day and what’s the best summer moive.

But then it consisted of a story about a woman caught sleeping in an overhead bin on an airline flight, a community news outlet following the neighborhood Cybertruck around, as it parks crooked and gets stuck in the sand, and someone turning in $40,000 worth of cash found in two separate bathrooms, including a KFC.

At the end (37:10), we talked about the failed ousting of House Speaker Mike Johnson and how Democrats, for some reason saved his job. But also, how the media should be focused on what the House has done legislatively this term, as opposed to the sideshow that is Marjorie Taylor Greene trying to get attention.
