The La Crosse park board got a look at expansion plans on Thursday. Jay Odegaard, the city park director, is hopeful about possible benefits of a club expansion.

Pettibone Island businesses could benefit from improvement plans being considered by the city park board

“I would love for this to be a great benefit to the community, a great benefit to the park, obviously to the boat club, which in the end, makes us some more money as well,” Odegaard told the park board.

Odegaard says the proposal would have to be reviewed by other city committees, and the DNR. The park board will consider the idea again at its July meeting.
