If it’s June, that means it’s time for Moon Tunes in La Crosse.

The outdoor concert series in Riverside Park which began over a decade ago starts its 12th season at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

The opening night program will feature Adam Greuel and the Cosmic Burritos, advertised as “country rock and roll.”

The free concerts at the Riverside bandshell run until 8 p.m., most Thursday nights from June to early September.

The last concert of June will be on a Wednesday instead of Thursday, and it will be held at Loggers Field in Copeland Park, while the riverfront prepares for Riverfest at the start of July.

This year, the Viking river cruise ships are scheduled to visit La Crosse on the same afternoon as two concerts later in the season.
