A motorcycle reportedly crashed into a rocky hillside near Boscobel, Wis., late Monday night, killing the two riders.

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office stated the motorcycle driven by 43-year-old David Fillyaw of Muscoda crossed a Wisconsin River bridge on Highway 61 at a high rate of speed, and hit the rock wall head on, instead of turning onto Highway 60 at an intersection.

Fillyaw and his passenger, 42-year-old Aleisha Bell, also from Muscoda, were ejected and declared dead at the accident scene.

The accident happened shortly after 10 p.m. Monday.

After crossing the river heading west, Fillyaw’s cycle went across both lanes of Highway 60 before hitting the hillside.

Boscobel police and fire departments and the state patrol were among the agencies responding to the accident scene.

Crawford County has now reported three traffic deaths this year, compared to just one last year.
