La Crosse League of Women Voters president Powell on constitutional amendments, voting

Jane Powell, president of the League of Women Voters of the La Crosse Area, joined La Crosse Talk on Tuesday, as early voting started for the summer primary.

Powell discusses what’s on that primary ballot and the League’s stance on the two constitutional amendments voters will see. The primary voting period ends Aug. 13.

    Personally, I think the League of Women voters is the biggest danger to our election processes ever created. They seem to subvert confidence with every move they make, everything they are concerned about. I do not give them one ounce of credibility.

      how? can you explain your position more? As Sandy stated, their goal is to encourage and educate people to vote, not how to vote.

    Kevin, you are spot on. Watch what the League does. Why are they even weighing in on this issue of Gov vs legislature spending controls…the dim whit from LWV could barely provide any rationale for their position. It has nothing to do with facilitating voting by anyone, it’s a purely partisan play.

    Notice she threw around the code word “democracy” several times as if by reflex. What a joke; maybe she can run for president on the Dem ticket.
