Rachel Vik joins La Crosse Talk on Tuesday to tell us about the fourth year of “Fun Day for Foster Families,” happening Saturday at Bethany Church on County B in La Crosse.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., foster families can come enjoy carnival games, prizes, bounce houses, snow cones, cotton candy, Pizza Ranch, other food and more.

La Crosse Talk airs weekdays at 6-9 a.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk PM wherever you get your podcasts.

But, the main reason for the event is to help foster kids get ready for school with all kinds of free supplies and clothes available — from notebooks and trapper keepers to a duffle bag you can throw it all in to.

Parents need to register here.

Last year, over 100 children in foster care took part. Biological/adoptive kids in foster families are welcome, as well.
