Most of Valley View Mall shut down for maintenance; Penney and Barnes and Noble open

Valley View Mall has announced that the main section of the mall is closed today, because of maintenance issues.

The mall on Highway 16 has posted messages at several entrances, announcing the shutdown. A few anchor businesses at Valley View are open for business today, such as J.C. Penney and the Barnes and Noble Bookstore.

The Hu-Hot restaurant also is open for business.

Meanwhile, most of the former Macy’s portion of the mall has now been demolished, with plans in the works for new businesses to be built on that spot.

    Be nice to what the maintenance is that led to its closure. The reporting, as usual, is very sloppy.
