La Crosse County Democratic Party chair William Garcia stopped in the WIZM studio Monday for La Crosse Talk to discuss his role as a delegate, nominating Kamala Harris to the ticket for president.

La Crosse Talk airs weekdays at 6-9 a.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk PM wherever you get your podcasts.

We also talked about VP picks (before the news came out). Garcia got what he wanted to MN Gov. Tim Walz, but he had a great prediction about MN Lt. Governor, Peggy Flanagan. Lastly, we discussed this bodycam footage from the RNC in Milwaukee, where Republican US House Rep. Derrick Van Orden claimed he was assaulted by a young woman and claimed it was an act of political violence.

    Solem-

Be sure to have Ivan Garcia on every Monday morning before the November election to get his reaction to each Sunday Packers game. His office is next to yours at WIZM.

    “Ivan” Garcia?

Does that make Rick Solem the “useful idiot” (ref Fyodor Dostoevsky).

In a word, Yes. Solem excepts everything that Ivan Garcia says. When Ivan Garcia does not like what callers have to say, he will talk over you and while doing, so Rick will hang up on the caller. So yes, Solem is ofter a useful idiot as the term is defined.
