The bail for one suspect was set at $500,000 Wednesday.

Christina Joswick and Raymond Lewis are jailed on charges of trafficking drugs, such as fentanyl and meth.

Lewis has nine charges against him, while Joswick has seven new criminal counts. Both are repeat offenders.

The charges resulted originally when Lewis was stopped Aug. 9 in his car by police in the Gillette Street area.

During the stop, police smelled marijuana and it was later detected by a K9.

A green leafy substance was discovered in Joswick’s purse.

A search later at their home in the 1100 block of Division Street turned up a large variety of drugs and paraphernalia.

In court Wednesday, Joswick’s bond was set at $10,000, while Lewis is jailed on a $500,000 bond.

Joswick protested that she needed to be released from jail to continue her job.

Judge Mark Huesmann said the suspects pose a risk to the public and could be a flight risk.

Both have evidence hearings next week.
