More than a year after the murder of Madeline Kingsbury of Winona, her former boyfriend will be in court next month for pre-trial hearings.

Fravel

Adam Fravel is accused of killing Kingsbury and concealing her body in early 2023.

People throughout the Winona area spent weeks searching for Kingsbury after she was reported missing.

Fravel has pre-trial hearings on second-degree murder charges scheduled for Sept. 3-4, probably in Winona, unless a new trial location is announced before then.

A judge has agreed to move the Fravel trial out of Winona County because of publicity about the case.

Kingsbury was first reported missing around the end of March, 2023.

Her remains were found the following June in Fillmore County, and Fravel, the father of Kingsbury’s young children, was arrested at that time.
