Motorcyclist dies after Thursday crash near Galesville

A motorcyclist in Trempealeau County was killed in a crash near Galesville on Thursday, according to law enforcement.

The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office said it was notified of an accident on Highway 53 near County Road TTT. A motorcycle there hit something in the road, tipped over and ejected the rider, who was not wearing a helmet.

The driver later died at a La Crosse hospital. Their name has not yet been released.

The sheriff’s office is asking the public for information about the crash.

As of this week, five people have been reported killed in Trempealeau County accidents during 2024.
