Gow’s tenure at UW-La Crosse could be determined Friday
Former UW-La Crosse Chancellor Joe Gow is getting another chance to fight for his faculty position on campus.
Gow has a hearing Friday before a committee of the university Board of Regents.
He was fired as chancellor last December for producing pornographic videos with his wife and affiliating with adult film stars, which was considered an embarrassment to the university.
Gow has tenure is still on the UW-L faculty, where he can teach communications courses.
A two-day hearing was held in June in Onalaska, on whether Gow should be allowed to continue as a faculty member.
University officials claim Gow has not cooperated with the investigation. Those officials charge that he improperly used university equipment to make those videos as reason for his firing.
