Gow’s tenure at UWL to be discussed by members of Board of Regents
Former UW-La Crosse Chancellor Joe Gow is getting another chance to fight for his teaching position on campus.
Gow has a hearing on Friday before a committee of the university board of regents. He was fired as chancellor last December, for producing pornographic videos with his wife, which was considered an embarrassment to the university. Gow has remained on the La Crosse faculty, where he can teach communications courses.
A two-day hearing was held in June in Onalaska, on whether Gow should be allowed to continue as a faculty member.
University officials say Gow has not cooperated with the investigation, and they charge that he improperly used university equipment to make those videos.
