Nothing like breaking down the 2025 and 2028 elections on La Crosse Talk PM with UW-L political science professor, Dr. Anthony Chergosky, 24 days before the November election cycle ends.

We also recapped with WIZM’s Brad Williams the vote by the city council not to vote on hiring a city administrator. Plus, we highlighted some “Wisconsin Confessions,” on Reddit, like “I don’t like brats,” and “Culver’s cheese curds aren’t good.”

La Crosse Talk PM airs weekdays at 5:06 p.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk PM wherever you get your podcasts.

In terms of election coverage, we brought up the 2025 April election for a couple reasons. One, Shaundel Washington-Spivey announced he’s running for mayor in La Crosse and the city council put off a vote on hiring a city administrator until after May. The 2025 election also has seen candidates for Wisconsin Supreme Court with the political leanings at state, as well as state schools superintendent.

And, just to be ridiculous, we discussed the repercussions from each party depending on who wins the November election and who would be on the ticket in 2028 based on the outcome.

In terms of city administrator, we discussed the reasons behind the council not voting, and how La Crosse Mayor Mitch Reynolds — who is in favor of the position — pleaded early this week on WIZM for the council to have a vote or it’s a cop out.

And lastly, we hit on some of the best/worst Wisconsin Confession on Reddit.
