Sparta man now charged with murder after death of woman, days after an attack in Monroe County

Intentional homicide is one of the charges now filed against Andrew Nauman of Sparta, after a 35-year-old woman died as an apparent result of an attack by Nauman.

Police in Sparta say Ticarra Manning died on October 17th, more than a week after being injured in the attack. Nauman had been arrested October 6th, on a charge of strangulation against the victim.

A day after Manning died, the charges were upgraded to homicide, felony murder, aggravated battery, and bail jumping. Nauman said he had found Manning lying at the bottom of a staircase.

The bail for Nauman is set at $1 million. He’s in the Monroe County jail, awaiting his next court appearance.
