Democrats Cooke, Pfaff, Billings hit UW-La Crosse to meet young voters
Close to an election, you might see local candidates in public just about anywhere, such as a college campus.
A week after the Vice President held a rally at UW-La Crosse, three area Democrats on the ballot this November gathered there Wednesday to greet students around the stadium.
Third District US House candidate Rebecca Cooke told reporters what issues are on young people’s minds.
“They’re concerned about abortion access, they’re concerned about IVF, they’re concerned about access to birth control,” said Cooke, who was part of a town hall earlier in the day at the La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce.
Cooke is challenging Republican Congressman Derrick Van Orden, who also had a town hall with the Chamber on Monday.
Cooke added that 3rd District voters also worry a good deal about money.
“It’s tough for folks to be able to go to the grocery store, and fill up at the gas pump, and pay their rent or make a mortgage payment and have a little left over at the end of every month,” Cooke said, “and that’s really due to corporations that are price-gouging consumers and they’re doing that off the backs of their workers.”
Wisconsin state Sen. Brad Pfaff (D-Onalaska) hears students talk about their career plans.
“They want to make sure that they have opportunities going forward,” Pfaff said. “We’re listening, and at the same time, we seek to build partnerships.”
Pfaff is up against Republican candidate Stacey Klein for District 32.
Assembly Rep. Jill Billings (D-La Crosse) is urging students to vote early to avoid missing the chance to cast a ballot on election day.
Billings, who’s being challenged by Republican Cedric Schnitzler, added that a lot of students she met Wednesday are “really engaged with the election,” Billings said. “Some have already voted absentee, but it was exciting to hear people who have voted, or intend to vote.’
The candidates were stationed in the early afternoon outside the UWL student union, near tables where campaign souvenirs and pizza were available to students.

It’s important to spread lies in in person. Surprised Reynolds, Solem, and other leftist schills weren’t present.

WiZM’s Brad Williams seems to be the Dems’ assistant director for their Ministry of Truth. He also is assigned to make the daily french fry pilgrimage for comrade Garcia.

There is high turnout in other states. Georgia is one that has been singled out for high turnout; that is ironic.
Biden called their election law Jim Crow 2; boycotts were organized such as the baseball all star game being pulled.
In fact, the law was more liberal than California, New York and DELAWARE – Lying Joe’s home state.
The media NEVER pushed back.
The outcome- record breaking voting numbers.
Republicans defying Trump. In fact, Republicans in various states in charge defied Trump- the media mainly silent.
Interesting that Democrats keep showing up on college campuses . They do not have the intestinal fortitude to visit someone like me; a person who goes after both sides when they deserve it.

How sad is it that these characters have nothing to campaign on other than baby killing and calling Trump names. Its like listening to 3rd graders.
Its also telling that none of these clowns were willing to appear with Harris when she was in town. Only our dufus mayor was willing to play the fool.

I would be interested in knowing the personal experiences of Pfaff Cooke and Billings with abortion. What makes this issue so important to them. What are their life and religious experiences that move them to want to support such a ghoulish political position? It doesn’t appear there are any life improving messages that accompanies their pro abortion position.
After all, they want access to our children, chasing them on campuses to the doorway of classrooms and beyond thanks to liberal professors, so why are they not asked these questions?

The abortion issue has been clouded with the term reproductive rights.
The women of this country have reproductive rights. This is not China that took the step of forced sterilizations and abortions. China took a page of the founder of Planned Parenthood- Margaret Sanger . She was a white supremacit who advocated abortions of all poor women.
The Democrats are so CHICKEN; they call all Republicans extreme on abortion while never stating a position.
The leftist media never challenges them for their position. WHAT A SHAM.
