As I See It
Would you like fries with that?

Could we please be done with this election season, already? In the closing days of a campaign that apparently began on election night four years ago, and when we’re told the issues should be things like gas and groceries, now we get another G, the Grimace. McDonald’s is the latest place where Donald Trump seemingly found a new opportunity to one-up Kamala Harris, or embarrass her, or both. Trump’s campaign managed to get the candidate into one restaurant in Pennsylvania, where he could hand out fries to pre-screened customers, for what purpose beyond a photo op? Mister Trump is heavily invested in portraying Harris as “Lyin’ Kamala,” that he’s convinced she lied about working at McDonald’s years ago. Kind of like, I don’t think Barack Obama was born in America. Or is this like the old Broadway tune, anything you can do, I can do better? There’s still plenty of campaign time left for more gimmicks, and one-upsmanship. Can someone pass me the ketchup?

She is a liar, she hasn’t stopped lying, yet none of you vaunted members of the media think tank can ever seem to call her on her lies.

You’ll have to pardon Trump for putting the spotlight on Lyin’ Harris’ lies. After all, the media is not up to it; someone has to do it. You should thank Trump for doing your job; not everyone is so lucky they can shirk their primary job function and then criticize someone else as they do the work.
As for the ketchup, your roommate William Garcia consumed all of it. No ketchup for you.

Didn’t Kamala have a town hall somewhere and an audience member asked when they could ask questions?
Maria Schriver informed the crowd that no questions were being taken and they already had rescripted questions for the VP to answer. You talk about staged?

On a positive note, Brad, thank you for writing the as I see it comment. I don’t know if you are going to continue in this role with Scott, Robert Shaw‘s retirement, but it is truly nice to have an editorial comment page. I recommend that you do not accept the News Director position and write an opinion because that, in my opinion, is a conflict of interest. It’s best if news anchors, keep their viewpoint, neutral, and report the news so that opinion does not get mixed in with actual news. Anyway, thank you for taking time he reins If that is your intent.
Now, I have to agree with the other commentators. While this should be obvious right now, Kamala Harris lies a lot. Examples. She has lied repeatedly for four years about Joe Biden‘s fitness saying that he’s strong and full of energy. The man can barely walk. She should have invoked the 25th amendment, but she’s failing to do that most likely because that would be admitting that she’s lied about his fitness for office all these years. She also lied repeatedly about the border being closed. So yes, if you’re gonna call out something, call it out on both sides of the aisle or not at all.
