The two major party candidates for vice president are both tentatively scheduled to campaign separately in La Crosse on Monday, the day before the election.

The Trump campaign has announced that Republican J.D. Vance will speak Monday morning at a La Crosse Center rally. That afternoon, Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and his wife Gwen will deliver remarks at a Get Out the Vote event in La Crosse, according to the Harris campaign. Neither Tim Walz nor Vance has visited La Crosse during the campaign season, although Mrs. Walz was at the La Crosse Center a few days ago, appearing with First Lady Jill Biden.

Monday’s Walz event in La Crosse will be followed by stops in Stevens Point and Milwaukee on the same day. Sen. Vance, from Ohio, is expected to travel from La Crosse to Atlanta, Georgia and Pennsylvania on Monday.

The nominees for president have both appeared in La Crosse since their party conventions this summer. Donald Trump spoke at a town hall inside the La Crosse Center in late August, while Kamala Harris appeared at UW-La Crosse on October 17th.
