The jury in Adam Fravel’s murder trial of Winona’s Madeline Kingsbury received the case, following closing arguments Wednesday.

Fravel

Fravel is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend, Kingsbury, in early 2023 and hiding her remains in the Fillmore County.

The trial, moved to Mankato, Minn., because of extensive publicity around Winona, lasted about three weeks.

The court advised jurors that they would be allowed to break Wednesday for the night if they were not close to a verdict.

Kingsbury was reported missing in April last year.

Her family and community members in Winona conducted searches and vigils before her body was found in June of 2023.

The defense in the trial suggested that prosecutors have focused too much on Fravel as a potential suspect.
