As a reminder as you start or end your day today… Today is National Seat Belt Day in the United States.  As technology has advanced, we have progressed from standard lap belts to the new harnesses and airbags.  Back then, we were told and told others to buckle up but we didn’t have the buzzing or beeping or chiming reminders that we have today.  I know that some of us can ignore that sound for the entire duration of our commute or trip and for others, it drives us crazy if we hear it for just a few seconds.  In the year 2022, there were 25,420 vehicle occupants who lost their lives in accidents.  Fifty percent of those were not wearing seatbelts.  That means that we have 12,710 less people on Earth now because they didn’t take the five seconds to buckle up before the car was put into gear.  In 2023, 92% of us in Wisconsin had our seatbelts on.  That was also the national average.  So if you’re not buckled up, please do it now.

I can juggle, say the alphabet backwards faster than forwards and can ride a unicycle, but my latest hobby is mountain biking. Looking forward to meeting my new extended Mid-West Family.
