Chili-cook off champion to kickoff Harry J Olson Senior Center fundraising
The Harry J. Olson Senior Center has attracted an award-winning chili-making champion as its chef for its kickoff to a capital campaign next week.
Center leader Erin Goggin says the free lunch next week Wednesday from 11:00 to 1:00 at 1607 North Street, La Crosse, is to help raise money to remodel three bathrooms and a small portion of their kitchen.
The nonprofit purchased the building from the City a few years ago to host classes that keep our area’s seniors socially engaged and active.
Goggin says classes include dance, exercise, crafts, a foot & nail clinic, wood carving, and plenty of card games like bridge and Euchre.
She says the Center is all about supporting the golden years – when our seniors shine.
