As I See It
It’s Not Thanksgiving Without …
Think back to a time where your only concerns on Thanksgiving Day were who you were going to have to sit next to at the kids table or the adult table, how much the clothes you had to wear were going to itch and how much food you were going to try and eat that year.
As the years went by, those concerns would change to who would be the first person to ask you if you were seeing someone on a serious basis, how you were doing in school and if you were ready to step out into the real world and get a job.
Then shortly after that, the conversation turned to babies, mortgages and who was ready to retire.
One of the common denominators has always been family. No matter how often you see them, it’s always nice to visit with your family. And if you don’t have the ability to see them in person, most are only a phone call — or in this day and age — a video chat away. If you all can’t be together, make an effort to include those in your family. And like my Mom always says, “We’re all we’ve got.” Happy Thanksgiving.
