Thousands of tundra swans, ducks and other wildlife basking on the Mississippi River this holiday, according to the the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife & Fish Refuge.

The refuge counted up between 500-600 tundra swans at the Brownsville Outlook, over the Mississippi and just south of La Crosse, in Brownsville, Minn.

“There are at least 1,000 swans in the islands north of the Highway 26 overlook, about two miles south of the Brownsville Overlook,” the refuge posted. “Several thousand diving ducks at the Highway 26 overlook, too.”

A video shared by the refuge last week showed the array of wildlife at the Brownsville Outlook.
