Erratic driving in Black River Falls leads to possible 7th drunk-driving charge

A 43-year-old woman is facing her 7th drunk-driving charge, after an arrest on Tuesday in Black River Falls.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 12:46 a.m. that a car nearly hit a pole while leaving a Black River Falls gas station .

A deputy located the vehicle, observed poor driving and pulled them over.

Nichole Waughtal of Merrillan showed signs of impairment. She then failed field sobriety tests.

Waughtal was booked into the Jackson County jail for 7th offense operating while intoxicated.

Court records show Waughtal has faced similar charges in Clark and Wood counties.
