Area woman accused of unsolved Jackson County bank holdups that happened six years ago

Two Jackson County bank robberies from several years ago may have been solved with the arrest of one 26-year-old woman.

Sheriff’s officers say Michaela Davis of Medford, Wisconsin is accused of robbing the Jackson County Bank in Alma Center nearly six years ago, in January of 2019. Davis is also suspected of robbing a motor branch of the same bank in Black River Falls, the previous November. Both banks had been robbed by a white female, and the suspects in both cases were said to have similar looks and behaviors.

The sheriff’s department says new leads in the cases led investigators to arrest Davis in Taylor County. She is now in the Jackson County jail, and criminal charges have been filed. Officers are still looking into those robberies, based on newly available information.
