Bank robberies from six years ago finally have suspect in Jackson County

Two Jackson County bank robberies from six years ago finally have a suspect, with the arrest of one 26-year-old woman.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said Michaela Davis of Medford, Wis., is accused of robbing the a bank in Alma Center nearly six years ago, in January of 2019.

Davis is also suspected of robbing a motor branch of the same bank in Black River Falls, the previous November.

Both banks had been robbed by a white female and the suspects in both cases were said to have similar looks and behaviors.

The sheriff’s department added that new leads in the cases led investigators to arrest Davis in Taylor County.

She is now in the Jackson County jail. Criminal charges have been filed.

Law Enforcement is still looking into those robberies, based on newly available information.
