The suspect in a recent drug-related death in La Crosse County is now charged with new drug offenses.

Todd Pfaff

A new criminal complaint has been filed this week against Todd Pfaff of La Crosse. The 47-year-old is already accused of reckless homicide for another man’s overdose death, which occurred at a residence last summer.

Pfaff was arrested before Christmas for reportedly providing fentanyl to the overdose victim last July.

Authorities say they monitored a recent phone call Pfaff made from the jail to his mother, asking her to dispose of some boxes, but not to put them in the regular garbage.

Pfaff’s mother had already called police to report a break-in.

The complaint said that after police found the boxes at a French Island residence, they discovered meth, fentanyl and drug paraphernalia inside.

Pfaff remains in the county jail, with a cash bond set at $100,000. He has a hearing in both drug cases next week.
