Thew arrested in Juneau County for triple murder, after a search lasted over a week
Murder suspect Virgil Thew of New Lisbon has been captured in Elroy.
Police in New Lisbon, about 12 miles from Elroy, searched for Thew in connection with a triple-murder of a woman and two girls. The victims were found shot to death on December 30th at a New Lisbon residence, and police say Thew knew the victims.
The Juneau County sheriff’s office said on Facebook that Thew was seen in Elroy late Thursday morning, and he was arrested within a half-hour.
Elizabeth Kolba, 33, and two girls ages 12 and 13 were found shot to death at a house in New Lisbon on Dec. 30. Thew knew the victims, according to a criminal complaint. He is now facing three homicide charges in Juneau County Court, and he could make a court appearance on Friday.
