Aerial lift falls during tree-trimming in Galesville; two people who were in aerial basket were killed

Two people have died in a weekend accident while trimming trees in Galesville.

The Trempealeau County sheriff’s office says the two male victims were in the basket of an aerial lift on Saturday morning. The lift apparently was parked on a slope, and it may have moved enough to tip over. First responders and Galesville police confirmed that the persons in the basket were deceased at the scene.

Authorities have not released the names of the victims yet. The investigation has been completed.
