Two men killed in Galesville tree-trimming accident are identified

The two men killed in a weekend tree-trimming accident in Trempealeau County have been identified.

Sheriff’s officers say the victims were 63-year-old Douglas Poss and 61-year-old Ryan Poss.

The men were in the elevated basket of an aerial lift in Galesville last Saturday. Investigators say the lift was parked on a slope, and the machine apparently moved enough to tip over.

Both men were found dead when responders arrived at the accident scene.
