As I See It
Are You Ready For Election Season?
Just when you thought it was over, it’s back again. Election season is here in Wisconsin.
So brace yourself for more attack ads, yard signs, and of course, your know-it-all uncle posting on Facebook like he’s an expert on Wisconsin Supreme Court races.
Some people are already trying to make this a one-issue election, and honestly, I’m all for it. As long as that issue is clear; which candidate will uphold the Wisconsin Constitution and not transform it like a magician turning a card into a dove?
Partisanship should always take a backseat to the Constitution. It’s our document, crafted by us, the people, to protect our God-given rights and liberty, not to advance political party agendas or cater to the latest hashtag on X.
Vote wisely. Vote for the Constitution. Because when everything else fades, it’s what stands between us, and a government that thinks it knows best. Andy Parrish

I have been texting and emailing different political sites about a question: Who is allowed to vote for the WI SUPREME COURT elections ? I thought it would be all registered voters in the state but apparently that’s not true. I live in Rock County and received my absentee ballot but I am only allowed to vote for state superintendent. This seems wrong to me. Does anyone know why ?

Hey Sheila, it is not wrong. The Wisconsin Supreme Court race does not have a primary. There are only two candidates and they will be on your spring ballot. Voting for that hasn’t begun yet. There is early voting two weeks before, but the big day to go vote in that race, the final state school superintendent race and anything you have local (like La Crosse School Board, La Crosse mayor, La Crosse city council) is April 1. This is a good website for all that info: https://myvote.wi.gov/
