WATCH: Public welcome, as WIZM hosting La Crosse mayor forum Thursday evening at UW-L

All four candidates running for mayor of La Crosse will be taking part in a forum at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Chris Kahlow, Vicki Markussen, Ellie McLoone, Shaundel Washington-Spivey are the four running to be the city’s next mayor.

The forum will also be livestreamed below.


La Crosse Mayor Candidate Forum

WHEN: 6 p.m. Thursday (doors open 5:30 p.m.)

Doors open for the event, which is open to the public, at 5:30 p.m. It will take place on the second floor of the UW-La Crosse Student Union (Google map) in the Bluffs Ballroom.

All four candidates also submitted answers to a WIZM questionnaire, which can be seen here — along with school board and city council candidates (though more council candidates will be added after the primary).

LeaderEthics executive director, Lee Rasch, will moderate the forum. Local media from the La Crosse Tribune, Wisconsin Public Radio, WKBT and WXOW, along with WIZM, will be the panelists asking questions.

Primary voting begins Feb. 4 and runs through Feb. 18. That’s when the mayor candidates will be cut from four to two. One school board member and one candidate in the District 7 city council race will also be cut.
