Six advance in La Crosse School Board contest

Only one of the seven candidates on the ballot for the La Crosse School Board wouldn’t be moving on to the April election.

With last week’s decision by Sam Morris to drop out of the race due to comments on social media, Tuesday’s results weren’t surprising.

In unofficial reporting, incumbent Merideth Garcia, Adam Hoffer, Joy Buchman, Molly Fuchs, Kevin Hundt, and Jeff Jackson gathered enough votes on Tuesday to take part in April’s contest.

The six are vying for three seats on the board.

Contest? Is this a joke or a spelling bee? School board contest makes it sound like an elementary school class president run. Maybe less than that.
