The School District of La Crosse wants the community to learn more about its plans for the Hogan Administrative site next week.

The district has a community engagement session scheduled for Wednesday, March 12 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Hogan Administrative Center at 807 East Avenue South.

Following the passage last November’s $53.5 million referendum, the district is moving ahead with changes to the Hogan site.

At the Hogan presentation, Bray Architects have a presentation on plans for the new site with the opportunity to take questions from the public afterwards.

The plan approved in the referendum calls for removing the current building at Hogan and constructing a new school there.

Students currently at Emerson and Spence Elementary schools would move to the new school as part of the consolidation process for the district’s schools.

Other parts of the referendum have most of the students and staff at Hintgen Elementary move to State Road Elementary which is also expanding with eight new classrooms and gym.

Some students from Spence and Hintgen would shift to Hamilton Elementary according to the plan.
