UW-La Crosse women’s track and field sprints coach, Katie Wagner joins to talk about the extraordinary junior, Lauren Jarrett, and what recently accomplished on a world level, plus the dynasty the Eagles have in the sport.

La Crosse Talk airs weekdays at 6-8 a.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk wherever you get your podcasts.

Jarrett, a Logan High grad, may be the best sprinter in UW-L history. She took sixth place a few weeks ago at the USATF indoors, up against three Top 40 sprinters, including 15th-ranked Celera Barnes.

Wagner is in her 15th season coaching UW-L, which is headed to New York to compete in the Division III Indoor Championships this weekend. The Eagles won indoors in 2023 — actually they swept both the indoor and outdoor championships that year.
