Although the weather was windy and cold, that didn’t stop either the parade or paradegoers from enjoying themselves.

The Shamrock Club’s annual parade brought plenty of music and fun to the streets of downtown La Crosse.

About 50 units took part in the parade on Saturday afternoon.

Green was the theme of course as the those taking part in the event wore plenty of it. They shared it, too with the crowd, handing out beads and more during the roughly 25 minute parade.

Following the parade, there was a post-parade party at the Freighthouse featuring food and music throughout the afternoon.

Members of the Shamrock Club including the Irish Rose Kathy Sexauer and Irish Man Steve Korger, are traveling most of Monday to schools and care centers to share some of the Irish spirit and culture.
