It’s a return trip to the Kohl Center for the Aquinas Blugolds as they reach the WIAA Division 4 State Boys Basketball Tournament this coming week.

The Blugolds got by Cumberland 69-56 to earn a trip to state for the second year in a row.

The team is scheduled to play in a semi-final game on Thursday night at approximately 8:15 p.m. against Mineral Point, who pulled off a dramatic come from behind win in a semi-final game at last year’s tournament.

The Prairie School and Bonduel round out the Division 4 bracket.

The Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates also made the tourney with a 53-41 win over Royall at Logan High School on Saturday afternoon in a Division 5 Sectional Championship.

Their next game is on Friday morning at 9:05 a.m. against Turtle Lake.

Abundant Life Christian and Sheboygan Lutheran are also in the hunt for a state title.
