UPDATE: Victim in fatal stabbing at Mankato Kwik Trip identified

THE LATEST: Authorities in Mankato release the names of the person killed in a fatal stabbing at a Kwik Trip store early Tuesday as well as the person arrested for the crime.
The City of Mankato added to its original Facebook statement from earlier in the day.
They said that Dennis Vosika, 34, of Mankato died from multiple stab wounds.
Officers found Vosika unresponsive on the floor of the store shortly after 3 a.m.
Police arrested 28-year-old Michael Miller after identifying him through the store’s surveillance video.
The statement said he was arrested without incident at his residence on charges of 2nd degree murder.
The update ended by saying that Miller was a frequent customer at the store and easily identified through the video.
An employee at a Kwik Trip store in Mankato is fatally stabbed early Tuesday morning according to the company.
According to the City of Mankato, Minnesota Government Facebook page, police went to the store just after 3 a.m.
Officers found the employee on the floor unresponsive with a knife wound.
The person went to Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato where he was pronounced dead.
Using surveillance video from the store, police identified the suspect as a 28-year-old man.
He was arrested at his residence a short time later without incident the post said.
The name of the suspect, charges, and name of the victim will be released by police at a later time.
In a news release from the Kwik Trip, president and CEO Scott Zietlow issued a statement:
It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that I write to inform you of an unimaginable tragedy that occurred at Store 344 in Mankato, MN early this morning. One of our coworkers was tragically stabbed and killed while on duty. This is a devastating loss for all of us, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
As a company, we are fully committed to supporting our coworkers through this painful ordeal. The suspect is in police custody, and we are working closely with law enforcement authorities to understand what happened.
At Kwik Trip, the safety and well-being of our coworkers are our top priorities. We are committed to maintaining a secure and supportive workplace for all coworkers. We want to make sure that everyone feels safe and supported during this challenging time.
We will get through this as a community, leaning on each other for strength and support.

Why is it wizm “news” can’t keep up with stories on the website. I had to access kstp for the whole story of the stabbing. Plus I had to access a Milwaukee station for information on the death of the soldier at Fort McCoy.
