As I See It
Wisconsin can’t be bought, not even with Happy Gilmore-style, oversized $1 million checks

Don’t wear a cheesehead, unless you can name the Packers last three quarterbacks.
Laughable right? Who couldn’t name the last three QBs in Green Bay?
Probably the world’s richest man. He’s still the world’s richest man, right?
Wisconsin voters told Elon Musk yesterday, they couldn’t be bought — even when he was giving away $1 million, Happy Gilmore-style, oversized checks.
Wisconsin voters elected Susan Crawford in overwhelming fashion, telling Elon Schimel, er, Brad Schimel and, perhaps, more notably President Elon Musk and Vice President Donald Trump, “not in our state.”
Musk spent $21 million trying to beat Crawford, and was in Green Bay of all places, last weekend handing out two $1 million checks.
By 8 p.m., the Decision Desk HQ had already called the race for Crawford, who was up 10 points, with only 82% of the vote in.
In La Crosse County, the message from voters was even stronger.
Crawford won with 62.9% of the vote. Schimel got just 37%, losing 30,538-17,954.
In terms of spending, the race itself was sickening. Over $100 million was spent — two years after $50 million was spent for party control of the Supreme Court.
Imagine what Wisconsin could do with that money.
Now, the state will likely settle down until 2028, when partisan control of the court could be on the line again.
But will Elon Musk be involved? Probably not.
By the way, Happy Gilmore 2 comes out in July.
As I see it, I’m Rick Solem.

Elon Musk is a bad look for the Republican party. President Trump needs to get rid of him before more damage can be done.

How much did Soros spend in Wisconsin for this election?

Schimel had my vote until endorsed by Trump ,Walker and Elon pulled his crap. Too bad he had to take it on the chin for those idiots. He showed he has something they lack, integrity. He didn’t pull the they cheated b.s like some of his supporters wanted him to.

Hopefully Crawford won’t live up to her reputation as an activist judge. It’s high time our politicians, judges and the voting public read the constitution. It’s the responsibility of the legislative branch of our government to fashion laws, not the judicial branch. It is really sad that justices are labelled liberal or conservative. They should be known as fair and impartial constitutionalists.

Dream on, Sarge. Activist (leftist) judges are on a mission. They have an agenda. The attorneys who appear before them know this and plan accordingly. The attorneys do not attempt to convert these activist judges. They perform as nice gentlemen before the esteemed ladies. Deference is similar to what was seen in Victorian England. Quite a bunch of women we have running that court now. Way too many of them.

Howard if you pulled your vote because of someone else’s support of a representative and chose the other candidate, is questionable. So you don’t vote on the issues you vote on personality or emotion?
Crawford was being supported by George Soros groups the governor of Illinois and others alike. So Elon Musk is horrible but Soros a known nazi helper is better?
Wisconsin voted for ID to vote to be put into the constitution but also voted for Crawford and company. Not smart. The people WI voted for won’t enact that law, they can’t, they don’t stand for it on their principles.

You are Solem. Wisconsin was bought, it was paid for by the Democrat part. They paid $45million for the judgeship. The electorate doesn’t know this because folks like you Solem only talk about the ‘sickening’ behaviors on one side.
As for Musk buying your vote, a person’s vote should have been for a conservative review of the law.
The Democrats bought a judge that already told people what she would rule, regardless of the case that is brought, regardless of the law being reviewed. She is ‘for’ this, against ‘that’ and will rule accordingly.
Killing babies at all points in the womb is fine, why wouldn’t it be it’s health care. The taxpayer has no say in health care costs and plans for public sector unions, this is what we people bitch about, the carve outs for politicians and the lackey’s that vote for those politicians. You know she will vote for boys in the girls locker room. She is a lunatic.
Leave it to the Wisconsin voter though to be swayed by bullshite advertisements that tell half-truths, and lies. Crawford waged a disgusting campaign, so please Solem, apply your judgement in all places.
Soros and his minions bought that election, the apathy of the voter on the right lost that election. Don’t go home feeling so righteous and noble, because you know your vote was bought.
I didn’t see the feel good whizbangs on the left get those astronauts home, I didn’t see the whizbangs help the folks in North Carolina, or anywhere else for that matter. In fact, those whizbangs discriminated, against those that did not think like them. Now we elected one of those whiz bangs based on crap logic.
Good job!

I stated early in the race that Crawford will win. The reason was solely the issue of abortion. This race was over long before Tuesday. The Democrats are already bragging they will have new maps so they can win and a lot more seats and turn Wisconsin into the next Illinois. A bankrupt state destroyed by progressives and unions.
Both sides wasted a lot of money on TV ads.

I lived in Illinois when Obama was pushed down our throats. We watched when Wisconsin legislators went to Rockford, Illinois so they wouldn’t have to support Scott Walker’s initiatives. They were the laughingstock of WLS radio in Chicago.
Now it is worse. My husband retired in 2014 and we “escaped” to Wisconsin in 2015 only now to have the same “stuff” happening here. Sorry, Mr. Solem, that you and yours want this country to keep moving to the courts making the laws and changing them even though a lot had already been decided.
To promote a judge who was bought and paid for by George Soros and J B Pritzker and by millions more in dirty money and never telling the whole story is beyond me and many others. Bob, John, Kevin and Nick did a great job explaining this. We can only “hope” that Crawford will be impartial, but I have my doubts

To Char, thank you for the compliment. Illinois has been losing residents for years and the exodus increases every year.
Crawford worked for Planned Parenthood which should exclude her from ever ruling on abortion. However, she ran on that issue and has stated that parts of title 10 are not constitutional. We already know how she will rule on very important issues in Wisconsin.
Solem is just a mouthpiece for the left.
