A downtown La Crosse butcher and sandwich shop is closing in a few weeks.

In a post on its Facebook page, Schuby’s Neighborhood Butcher said that it’s closing on Wednesday, April 23.

They opened in 2019 at 321 State Street.

Along with sandwiches and drinks, Schuby’s features meats sourced from local farms within a short drive from La Crosse.

The post said, in part, “To every customer who walked through our doors, to those who shared a meal with our products at their table, and to this wonderful community that has embraced our story – we thank you. We hope that Schuby’s has left a lasting mark, just as this experience has forever shaped us.”

The business is a part of the Weber Group that owns the Charmant Hotel, the Waterfront Restaurant and Tavern, and the Cargill Room at the Waterfront Restaurant and Tavern.
